Ms Navarre-Marie

Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, with regard to part (a) of the question, I am informed that the Indira Gandhi Women Empowerment Centre at Rivière du Rempart was closed in March 2021 for reasons known only to the previous government. With regard to part (b) of the question, in view of financial constraints, I wish to inform the House that priority is being given to reopen and operate women empowerment centres in government-owned buildings. With regard to Rivière du Rempart, actions have already been initiated to find a solution so that women of the region are not penalised.
