Duval (Fourth Member for Port Louis North & Montagne Longue) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to the proposed strategic partnership between Air Mauritius and Qatar Airways, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to where matters stand.
Reply: I am informed by Air Mauritius Ltd that, as at 27 November 2025, the company has not been approached regarding any proposed strategic partnership with Qatar Airways. However, I wish to inform the House that the Qatari Authorities have approached the Government for the conclusion of a Bilateral Air Services Agreement between Mauritius and Qatar.
