To ask Dr the Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands – Whether, in regard to Maha Shivaratree 2025, he will (a) for the benefit of the House, obtain from the Commissioner of Police, information as to the number of reported cases of allegedly oversized Kanwars booked for not being in conformity with the provisions of the Road Traffic (Control of Structures and Objects During Procession) Regulations 2025, indicating (i) their place of origin and (ii) the actions taken by the authorities thereon and (b) state the measures being envisaged to ensure compliance with the norms regarding the size of Kanwars and other security rules in the future?
