(No. B/89) Mr F. François (Second Member for Rodrigues) asked the Minister of Energy and Public Utilities whether, in regard to electricity supply in Rodrigues, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain from the Central Electricity Board, information as to – (a) the number of power disruptions registered during the last 12 months, indicating the overall electricity demand-supply in the island; (b) where matters stand as to the works to be undertaken for the – (i) underground cable network from Port Mathurin to Plaine Corail Airport via La Ferme Hospital, and (ii) retirement and replacement of the 6 MWN Engines at Port Mathurin, and (c) future sustainable power generation development in Rodrigues, if any.
