URGENT BUSINESS UNDER S.O. 17(3)

Madam Speaker, I beg under Standing Order 17(3), to take the time of the Assembly for urgent business. The Deputy Prime Minister rose and seconded. Question put and agreed to. SUSPENSION OF S.O. 29(1)

Having obtained your permission, I beg to move the suspension of Standing Order 29(1) in order that I may present Two Financial Resolutions without notice. The Deputy Prime Minister rose and seconded. Question put and agreed to. FINANCIAL RESOLUTIONS

Madam Speaker, having obtained your permission, I now present a Financial Resolution. Madam Speaker, I move that this Assembly resolves, with effect from 06 June 2025, that excise duty shall, in respect of the excisable goods falling under their respective H.S. Codes, as specified in Part A of the Schedule to this Resolution be levied, subject to the transitional provision referred to in Part B of this Schedule, at the corresponding rate specified in Column 5 of Part A of this Schedule (Appendix I). The Deputy Prime Minister rose and seconded. Question put and agreed to.

Madam Speaker

Hon. Prime Minister, we are distributing both resolutions to members. We wait for them to finish so that the members can take notice of these resolutions. I believe members have got both resolutions now.

Madam Speaker, I move that this Assembly resolves, with effect from 06 June 2025, that Value Added Tax shall, in respect of goods specified in the Schedule to this Resolution, be levied at the rate of zero percent (Appendix II). The Deputy Prime Minister rose and seconded. Question put and agreed to.
