(No. B/270) Mr P. Venkatasami (Third Member for Quartier Militaire & Moka) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to television programmes produced locally, he will state if Government will consider bringing amendments to the – (a) Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation Act with a view to ensuring that same are fair and impartial, and (b) Independent Broadcasting Authority Act to grant private operators the right to broadcast same.
