(No. B/1236) Ms A. Savabaddy (First Member for Port Louis North & Montagne Longue) asked the Minister of Land Transport whether, in regard to the taxi operators, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to the number thereof allowed to work in the Port Area, especially, at the Cruise Terminal, indicating – (a) their normal base of operation, and (b) whether there is any restriction for taxi operators based in the northern region to avail themselves of this opportunity and if so, indicate the reasons therefor.
