Savabaddy (First Member for Port Louis North & Montagne Longue) asked the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare whether, in regard to the children placed under the custody of her Ministry, she will state – 84 (a) the program, if any, implemented therefor or follow-up thereof made by the Children Development Unit once they reach 18 years old, especially, those with behavioural concerns, and (b) whether consideration will be given to discontinue the practice of admitting such children in hospitals over long periods of time in the absence of medical reasons therefor.
