Rookny (Third Member for Pamplemousses & Triolet) asked the Minister of Youth and Sports whether, in regard to the Morcellement St André Football Ground, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to if consideration will be given for the renovation thereof, including remedying the defective lighting thereat and, if so, indicate the expected start and completion dates thereof.
Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, with your permission, as Acting Minister of Local Government, I shall reply to this question. The answer is in the affirmative. As regard to the lighting system thereat, I am informed that this issue is being addressed. The expected starting date of replacement of flood lights is 04 August 2025. The project is expected to be completed within two months of the award of the contract.
