A/54 The Honourable Second Member for Quartier Militaire and Moka (Dr Ms Thannoo) To ask the Honourable Minister of Health and Wellness – Whether, in regard to patients requiring admissions to mental health care centres, he will state whether consideration will be given for legislative amendments to be brought to sections 8, 14, 19 and 33 to 37 of the Mental Health Care Act 1998 coupled with section 115 of the Criminal Procedure Act and any other relevant legislations regarding consent of patients thereof with a view to aligning same with the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities?
