(No. B/628) Mr K. Rookny (Third Member for Pamplemousses & Triolet) asked the Minister of Health and Wellness whether, in regard to the recruitment, retention and discipline of medical and health professionals in the public service, he will – (a) give details of the existing arrangements governing same, and (b) state whether consideration is being given for the setting up of a dedicated Medical and Health Services Commission on the lines of existing service commissions with a view to strengthening efficiency, governance and accountability therein.
