A/15 The Honourable Second Member for Quartier Militaire and Moka (Dr Ms Thannoo) To ask the Honourable Minister of Housing and Lands – Whether, in regard to the proposed development of flood management systems, he will state where matters stand, indicating whether (a) collaborative work has been undertaken with agricultural land users for the planning of effective drainage systems to prevent severe flooding arising from de-rocking activities in areas under cultivation (b) surveys have been carried out in respect of areas affected by flooding on account of the recent mass concreting of agricultural land (c) measures have been identified for implementation by real estate developers to prevent flooding in all areas affected by such developments and (d) the conservation of flood waters through the use of retention basins and other similar proven measures is being promoted?
