(No. B/244) Ms A. Savabaddy (First Member for Port-Louis North & Montagne Longue) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to the public consultation exercise in respect of the proposed Electoral Reforms, he will state the number of proposals received as at closing date, indicating – (a) whether a special team or committee has been set up to consider same, and (b) the timeframe for the preparation of a summary of the main proposals and whether same will be circulated prior to the drafting of any new legislation in relation thereto.
