(No. B/691) Mr C. Lukeeram (Third Member for Mahebourg & Plaine Magnien) asked the Minister of Local Government whether, in regard to the scavenging lorries servicing the southern region, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to the – (a) number thereof currently out of service, indicating the estimated timeframe for the repair and/or replacement thereof, and (b) immediate and long-term measures being envisaged to ensure the timely repair of the existing fleet thereof and the procurement of new ones.
