Seeburn (Second Member for Vieux Grand Port & Rose Belle) asked the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection whether, in regard to the impact of rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East on global petroleum markets, he will state, whether an assessment of the potential repercussions thereof on the local market has been carried out, indicating the measures being envisaged to ensure adequate supply of petroleum products, and whether consideration is being given to entering into supply arrangements at fixed or preferential prices with suppliers to mitigate the risks associated with further increases in global petroleum prices.
