The question, as placed

(No. B/9) Dr. Ms R. Daureeawo (Third Member for Rivière des Anguilles & Souillac) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to the Mauritian economy, he will state the assessed impact thereon of the ongoing international conflict in the Middle East, indicating – (a) the measures contemplated by Government to address the rising cost of living, particularly, the increase in food prices and basic commodities, and (b) whether targeted relief mechanisms are being considered for the benefit of low- income households.
