(No. B/770) Dr. F. Aumeer (Third Member for Port-Louis South & Port-Louis Central) asked the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare whether, in regard to Protection Orders in cases of domestic violence, she will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to the number thereof issued over the past three years, on a yearly basis, indicating the – (a) authority responsible for the monitoring of adherence thereto; (b) number of reported cases of serious breaches thereof, and (c) measures being envisaged to prevent the recurrence of domestic violence following the issue thereof.
