(No. B/418) Mr R. Etwareea (Third Member for Grand' Baie & Poudre d'Or) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to the proposed introduction of the Golden Visa Scheme, he will – (a) for the benefit of the House, obtain from the Economic Development Board, information as to – (i) whether the potential success and risks thereof particularly, regarding compliance with the Financial Action Task Force standards, and (ii) the estimated yearly number of Residence Permits to be issued thereunder have been assessed, and (b) state whether same will represent an accelerated pathway to permanent residence or Mauritian citizenship.
