B/1087 The Honourable First Member for Montagne Blanche and Grand River South East (Mr Baboolall) To ask Dr the Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands – Whether, in regard to the impact of the implementation of the reduction of the registration threshold of the Value Added Tax from Rs 6 million to Rs 3 million, he will state the (a) measures being envisaged to mitigate the risk of business closure, having regard to the additional compliance burden and operational costs arising therefrom and (b) support, if any, to be provided to the said businesses to assist with the transition thereto, indicating the nature and extent thereof?
