B/1126 The Honourable First Member for Montagne Blanche and Grand River South East (Mr Baboolall) To ask Dr the Honourable Minister of Education and Human Resource – Whether, in regard to the implementation of the revised Grant-in-Aid Scheme for private pre-primary schools with effect from 1 January 2027, including the reduction of the operational cost reimbursement to 50 percent, the capping of the rent reimbursement at Rs 5,000 and the withdrawal of the Rs 400 per-student subsidy from the 106 fee-charging private pre-primary schools, he will state (a) the reasons therefor and (b) whether an assessment of the estimated impact thereof on low-income housholds was carried out prior thereto and, if so, indicate the findings thereof?
