B/1131 The Honourable Second Member for Savanne and Black River (Mr Jugurnauth) To ask Dr the Honourable Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries – Whether, in regard to the production and consumption of local fruits and vegetables, he will state whether consideration will be given for the (a) distribution of fruit/vegetable plants seedlings on an annual basis to each local authority for distribution to members of the community and (b) introduction of a production quota or production planning mechanism for selected crops, with a view to ensuring food security and maintaining affordable prices for consumers?
