(No. B/93) Mr A. Duval (Fourth Member for Port-Louis North & Montagne Longue) asked the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs and External Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister for Rodrigues and Outer Islands whether, in regard to the allegations of manipulation of official statistics and data referred to in the State of the Economy Report, he will, for the benefit of the House, obtain information as to whether an inquiry has been carried out thereinto and, if so, indicate the outcome thereof, including whether it has revealed – (a) evidence of falsification or manipulation of data, and (b) the number of persons allegedly involved therein and, if so, indicate the number thereof interrogated and/or arrested in connection therewith and charges, if any, preferred against them.
